Rub-A-Dub Dolly was first made by Ideal in 1973 and a later, redesigned version was introduced in the early 80s.  This particular doll is actually the early '73 version wearing a later model's signature terrycloth outfit.   The original doll came with her own towel.   This all vinyl doll was touted as being water tight so she could be bathed without water damage. A bathtub could be purchased for her separately.  Her hair ribbon is replaced.
