Ideal Dina Growing Hair Doll

A played with doll that is somewhat harder to find than some of the other grow hair Crissy family. She was made between 1972-73 as a "tan" West Coast friend to Velvet. She is wearing the original outfit she was sold in, but she does not have the white clogs. Instead she wears accessory lavender slip on shoes, made for the Crissy family by Ideal, that compliment the outfit. She no longer has the butterfly tattoo on her leg which is commonly missing if doll was played with.

Part of the Crissy growing hair family, this is Brandi's little sister Dina. She and Brandi are the only ones with this warm suntan complexion. Instead of the usual sleep eyes of the other dolls, Dina has all painted features. As you can see, Dina is a very pretty doll and one that is less common. Her bangs have been trimmed in the very front.

Dina's base hair has a small section that has been cut on the side. Will blend in o.k. but wanted to mention it.

Dina has a jointed twist and turn waist so she can pose for you.

BACK VIEW
Her hair growing mechanism works well. Her hair is clean and shinny but is a bit fuzzy from being played with. Still comb-able but could probably be curled or braided to enhance the style. (Above photo makes the top of her hair look more yellow but this is due to the photo. Her hair is an even platinum blonde.)

If you are looking for a nice Dina to add to your collection, unless you want a mint doll, this doll would be a very nice example. She can wear the same size clothes as Velvet and Mia.
