FOR SALE: Nancy Ann Storybook Debbie

This cute 10 1/2" toddler doll was made by Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls and is sometimes referred to as Muffie's big sister.  She was made during the popularity of these chubbie toddlers like Littlest Angel, Lil Imp, etc.  Debbie is harder to find today than the Littlest Angel dolls which were made by Arranbee & Vogue.  This Debbie has been redressed in a non-tagged organdy dress that may be an original Debbie dress.  It has an attached slip and the white button snap that is so characteristic of the Muffie clothes.  She has replaced panties, and an added matching hair ribbon.   Her legs bend easily at the hip, but her bendable knees seem stiff and I don't want to force them.  She can stand on her own.

BACK VIEW
She has a very nice full wig styled in a cute ponytail (hair bow added). Back of head marked: Nancy Ann.   Dress closes with a snap. The snap has pulled away from the fabric and is just barely hanging on by a thread.   There are no tags in the clothing.  Shoes are marked "Fairyland Toy Prod. / No. 00 / Made is USA"

Debbie has beautiful, bright facial coloring.  Her blue eyes sparkle and match her dress.  Eyes open and close well.  Blush is strong as well as lip color.   Her body is very clean, she does not appear to have been played with much, if at all.   There are a few slight brownish stains on the white band of the dress fabric which may be noticeable on the above photo.

A few missing hair plugs right around the outer edge of hairline.  The area in back of head is hidden underneath the ponytail hair.

The button snap is just hanging on by a thread.  It appears that someone has tried to stitch it in the past but it has loosened again.  As shown in the previous BACK VIEW photo, above top, if the snap is adjusted, it displays fine.  This photo shows it if it is pulled.  May be able to be fixed by a talented seamstress, but if you aren't, it would still display well.

I dressed her in this pretty blue dress to match her lovely eyes.  There is an attached slip which is very characteristic of Nancy Ann clothing so this dress may be authentically "Debbie", but there are no tags.  New panties and a new hair ribbon.
