Vogue Ginny's Pink Wardrobe from 1955

Ginny Signature Pink Wardrobe, #922 from 1955.

Item # A3-G-55WARD
 ~SOLD~
~*~*~*~

There are three different styles of Ginny furniture that were made in the mid-50s.  This is the first style, the 1955 version with the white lattice print and Ginny head logo.  Not only is this a great vintage accessory to add to your collection, it is very functional too.

This is a played with wardrobe but remains in overall very nice condition.  It is well built but there are a few paint chips and paint wear on various parts of the unit, but nothing too bad.  There are some fingerprints on the sides.    No parts appear to be missing,  replaced, or broken.  Any Ginny furniture is pretty hard to find in any condition.

Vogue purchased their doll furniture from a leading doll furniture manufacturer then commissioned them to paint the items in Ginny's classic pink, with her logo/name.

The interior is divided into two sides, this side has shelves to store shoes, hats, and other accessories.

The other side is open with a bar to hang several of Ginny's favorite outfits.

The door that slides behind the other appears to be a slightly darker shade of pink but I believe this is from the factory and is not considered a flaw. It may be the type of wood that was used and it doesn't really show in the photos.  As shown in the picture to the left, there are some nicks in the paint, particularly along the edge of the front door and there are a few spots (stains).  Still this does not really detract from the overall appeal of this wardrobe.
