My own daughters were growing up during this decade so the dolls most dear to my heart are the ones that were their favorites. Strawberry Shortcake and all of her sweet scented friends, Rainbow Brite and her very colorful friends, and of course Cabbage Patch Kids were the hits. Barbie was very popular with the girls, as well, but I couldn't keep track of all of them and all of their tiny accessories. I'm sure the vacuum ate most of their shoes and I was always finding loose heads, arms, or legs under the beds. Unfortunately Ken often fell victim to my son's heroic G.I. Joes. Oh well, the kids had fun, so much for collecting played with Barbies.
