Playskool's
"My Buddy"

[Dividing Line Image]

The very popular boy's doll of the 80s, "My Buddy", was reintroduced in the 90s with just a slightly different variation.  His blue overalls were non-removable, as well as his shoes could no longer be removed.  His face was virtually the same.  He came in a both reddish brunette and blonde hair colors.

Later version "My Buddy" (90s)

This is the 90s version of the "My Buddy" doll.  Although his hat can come off, his clothing and shoes are part of his body design.

Always fun to find a variation, this 1993 My Buddy has red hair that is side parted.  His dimple is in the opposite (R) cheek and his facial expression is just a wee bit different than the doll above.  Also, the most obvious difference, is that although his tennis shoes are non-removable, his plaid overalls are!  His outfit has the My Buddy logo and the backs of his shoes say Playskool.  He most likely came with a hat that has since vanished.

Cute as a button!

I have have a description and photo of the original My Buddy and his sister called "Kid Sister".  You can view them in my 80s section.  My Buddy
