Party Pleaser Dolls

(not shown: Mint Tulip w/Marsh Mallard and Angel Cake w/Souffle)

Dolls from L to R:

~Strawberry Shortcake
            w/Custard
~Plum Puddin'
        w/Elderberry Owl
~Cafe Ole w/Burrito (top)
~Peach Blush (missing her lamb)
~Orange Blossom w/Marmalade
~Almond Tea w/Marza Panda
~Apple Dumplin' (missing Tea
           Time Turtle)
~Cherry Cuddler w/Gooseberry

In order to continue the popularity of Strawberry Shortcake and all of her friends, Kenner introduced a new line called Party Pleasers.  These dolls were dressed in fancier clothes and their pets were also embellished with a party theme.  These cute outfits were not sold separately.   The only way to get one of these frilly party dresses was to buy a whole new doll. (A delight for little girls, a frustration for moms.)
Some of the dolls shown above are not complete or do not have the proper pet.   Both Plum Puddin' and Peach Blush are the most rare.

Here is an example of the differences in pets depending on which series they were from:

1) Regular Marmalade

2) Party Pleaser Marmalade

3) Sweet Sleeper Marmalade
