Mattel's Baby Tender Love

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A very sweet baby from the Tender Love line. She is your basic Baby Tender Love. She measures approximately 15" tall. With the exception of the Living Baby Tender Love, these dolls are not jointed, rather, they have one piece stuffed soft vinyl bodies. It is very common for these dolls to develop very tiny dark measles-like spots due to the type of soft vinyl (form filled Dublon) used. She does have these little spots on her face, arms and legs. They are very slight, but they are there. There are no chew marks on her hands or feet. She comes in her original two-piece soft flannel type outfit but does not have her matching booties or bottle. This is the soft pink version (I've seen it in both a hot pink and soft pink). The outfit does show signs of wear so you may want to mend it or just find something else for her to wear. The bow on the front of the outfit is frayed at ends. See photos below for more details on this outfit. Still, it is original so I like to keep them together. She is marked on the back of her neck: Š1969 Mattel, Inc. Mexico. Reference books show they were marketed in the early 70s. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ A beautiful sweet face! She does have some lip paint missing and a small blue spot near her eye that I wasn't able to remove. I added the tiny pink bow in her hair.
Her darling outfit has been frayed at the top where one half of the snap is missing (see close up below). If a new snap was sewn in and the lace stitched back in place, it would look fine. The elastic in the panties has completely stretched so her pants keep falling down. New elastic is needed or a couple of stitches on each side and they would stay up. Her pretty platinum hair is full, shiny, and very soft.
