Mattel's Baby Tender Love

A very sweet baby from the Tender Love line. She is your basic Baby Tender Love. She measures approximately 15" tall. With the exception of the Living Baby Tender Love, these dolls are not jointed, rather, they have one piece stuffed soft vinyl bodies. These dolls were made with a type of vinyl called Dublon. The body is foam filled and very soft to the touch like baby skin. Over time this type of vinyl tends to develop little "pits" and make tiny little spots like measles. If you hold her in the light you can see these little pits but they are not dark. It is very common for these dolls to develop this, in fact I don't think I've ever had one that hasn't had it in one form or another. Anyway, this is very minimal on this doll. They are very slight, but they are there. There are no chew marks on her hands or feet. She comes in her original two-piece soft flannel type outfit and still has the often missing matching booties! However the booties have lost their elastic so constantly fall off her feet (no wonder they are often missing). This is the hot pink version (I've seen it in both a hot pink and soft pink). The outfit is in wonderful condition other than the loose elastic on the booties. The snap is in place and the panties' elastic is still stretchy although it could be tighter. She is marked on the back of her neck: Š1969 Mattel, Inc. Mexico. Reference books show they were marketed in the early 70s.

Her darling outfit is very clean and bright.

The elastic in the panties is still stretchy so her pants stay in place. The lace trim seems lovely. I don't see any holes. As mentioned above, there is no elastic in her booties at all. They will fall off immediately. Best if they were secured so they won't get lost.

Her pretty platinum hair is full, shiny, and very soft.

So cute, so soft, and so, so, cuddly!!
She is just waiting for some HUGS and a new mommy to give her some tender love!
