FOR SALE:  Sun Rubber Co.  Tod-L-Tot Squeak Doll from the mid-50s

The Sun Rubber Doll Company made these inexpensive rubber dolls in several varieties in the 1950s.  This is known as Tod-L-Tot.  She is 10", with one piece head, body, arms and legs with molded hair and clothing.   Squeaker still works.  She has a hole in mouth for a bottle and an exit hole on backside so she is a drink/wet doll. Photo makes the doll's legs look darker from the knee down, but this is just a shadow.  Doll is in VERY nice condition.

Strong blush and lip coloring still present.  Stationary glassene eyes.  Brows slightly faded.  Painted on brown hair over deep curls.  Very little play wear.

These dolls were actually made by fusing front and back parts.  Seam lines are very evident which is typical for these.  Metal squeaker still works and is not rusted.

This is a toddler wearing just his/her diaper shoes and socks.  Molded clothing is same color as doll (never meant to be painted).

There is one small dark spot (ink?) on the back of right arm near the elbow that may be permanently stained.  Otherwise, the doll has no chew marks or other problems.
