Doll Stand for American Character Tressy

FOR SALE: 8-1/2" Doll Stand for American Character's TRESSY

This stand is non-adjustable and was designed to hold American Character's 12-1/2" Tressy doll. It probably originally came in the box with the doll. Tressy was a "Barbie competitor" marketed between 1963-65. Her unique feature was that she could "grow hair" out of the top of her head. (This feature became very popular in the 70s with the large Ideal Crissy family dolls).

Tressy's name is embossed onto the plastic stand. A great item to add completeness to your doll.
Looks like there is a small melt mark of the plastic where the metal meets. May be factory caused but at any rate, this is a hard-to-find item and is definitely a plus to any Tressy doll collection!
