After the popularity of the  Thumbelina doll, Ideal introduced a redesigned version and called it Newborn Thumbelina in 1968.  She is only 9" tall and came in only one size.  Her movement was controlled by a pull string instead of the knob of her earlier sister.  This sweetie is wearing her original outfit but unfortunately she no longer moves.  There was a series of these smaller Thumbelina dolls between 1968-1972.  To see Toddler Thumbelina and Kissin' Thumbelina click here.
